2008 Yirdaki Masterclass with Djalu Gurruwiwi

Suite a un mp de Guan Lim qui m'a demandé de poster un message pour un yirdaki masterclass en Arnhem land 6 jours avant le Garma de l'an prochain.
Il n'y aura pas de masterclass au garma durant 5ans en raison du décès de M*lk*y M*n*g*rr.

Djalu and family have indicated to me that there will be no Yirdaki Masterclass at the Garma Festival for 5 years following the recent passing away of fellow Masterclass teacher and convenor, Mr M. Mununggurr. I've been asked to help organise and promote Djalu's independent Masterclass workshop which we are hoping to have about 2 weeks before Garma.

The proposal is to host around 20 fee-paying participants for the Rripangu Yirdaki Masterclass from 21st July-27th July 2008. The cost is expected to be AUD$1800-2000 per person and includes transportation in and around Gove, food, camping style accommodation in tents, yidaki making and playing tuition, bush trips, hunting expeditions, and anything else that might come up. The number of participants, cost, and date are tentative and will be clearer closer to the Masterclass.

Expressions of interest are sought now so please email me or send a private message to me if you are planning on coming to Arnhem Land next year. Numbers are limited and it is strictly first come first serve.
